Book the luxury of residing in a completely newly renovated historic building at the heart of the Hallstatt World Heritage Site. Modern comfort awaits in an ambience that’s steeped in history at the Salea holiday home on the Hallstatt Müllerstiege. That’s because the structure was rebuilt after the great fire of Hallstatt in 1763. The 200 steps of the miller’s staircase that pass it were once used to transport grain with only the power of human muscles to the mills above. The good news is that you’ll reach your destination after only 41 steps.
But time has, of course, not stood still at the holiday home. Seventy-five square metres of living space with a tastefully furnished, open-plan living area with couch and TV await on the lower floor. There’s also a top-notch kitchen equipped with stove, coffee maker, microwave, tea station and electric kettle as well as a spacious bathroom with rain shower and washing machine. Holidaymakers are further able to enjoy wonderful views of Hallstatt and Lake Hallstatt from the small covered wooden balcony that has been realised in the style typical for the locality. The upper floor is where guests will find the sleeping area with air-conditioning and TV, with a window that also presents vistas of Lake Hallstatt. A pellet burner and infra-red heater provide for even more cosiness.
Please note that the Salea holiday home is at your exclusive disposal. That means that you’ll be the sole resident and will therefore be completely undisturbed. But, if you should wish to enjoy a good and inexpensive breakfast in pleasant company in the mornings, you’d also be welcome to our ‘Gasthof Weißes Lamm’, our main building, which is just a few metres away.
